Tuning pianos in Idaho has its challenges. The weather changes so drastically from summer to winter. We have very cold winters and very hot summers. Luckily, we don’t have very humid conditions most of the year. Still, it’s a good idea to keep your piano on an inside wall if it’s an upright piano. Also, you want to keep it away from the heater and air conditioning vents as much as possible.

Pianos have a lot of wood in them, which expands when it gets wet and contracts when it dries out. This is why doors get stuck when the humidity is high. Well, humidity can also pull your piano out of tune. It’s best to have it tuned twice a year when the weather changes to keep it in good shape. However, if it needs it more than that, you should have it tuned whenever it sounds a bit off.

This is another post about piano tuning. It’s so fun. I love tuning people’s pianos. The sound sort of disappears into one sound when you get it perfectly tuned and it just sounds beautiful. That’s my favorite part of tuning pianos. When you get that perfect sound and it just feels right.

I can’t decide whether to keep this blog for what it was intended, since that isn’t really making me any money at this point in time. I think I’ll just change directions and make this my piano tuning blog, even though the address doesn’t fit. If I like it, I’ll make a new domain for it. So, if you landed here by accident and want to know more about United First Financial, you can click to my other website and find out more.

For the rest of you, I have started tuning pianos and I’m loving it. It’s a bit challenging, but not nearly as impossible as I had initially thought. Thank goodness for that because I’m kind of tired of trying the impossible.

It sells well, too. I just announced to a group of people that I was tuning pianos and immediately, I had three people tell me they wanted me to come and tune their pianos. I’ve never had people so thirsty for what I had to offer. It’s kind of fun to be wanted again. I’ve got to get some advertising going, but I think once word gets out that I’m doing this, it will be busy and pay well. This site is bound to change. I’m just thinking out loud and trying out the new theme from elegant themes. So far, I love it.
